Alfie Inspires But Newport Go Down
NIne year old Alfie is no newcomer to the mascot job. he has stood in for his brother before and has lead out the Black and Ambers numerous times since. This is no surprize as he comes from a family of staunch long serving Newport supporters. Alfie met his favourite players Sam Waldron and skipper Alex Jones before kick off and had the now traditional photo shoot. Then he lead out the team with captain for the day, Dai Pattison. Despite everything going so well up to that point, Neath had plans to spoil the party and put in a creditable performance leaving Newport somewhat second best.
