FoNR Community Officer nominated for top award The Friends of Newport Rugby Trust are delighted to hear that Nick Jackson has been shortlisted for the WRU 'services to rugby/volunteer' award for the 2009/10 season. Nick coordinates all Trust activities with the local community including school and junior rugby teams. Former FoNR Historian Mike Dams is a previous winner of this award and it is a great credit to FoNR that they have been singled out once again for their positive contribution to rugby in Newport. Nick will attend the award ceremony in Cardiff on Wednesday 26th May and everyone will be hoping that he can win an award on behalf of FoNR and Newport RFC. Kev Jarvis |
