Callum and Brandon are Mascots as Whites Pale On another cold evening, the two team mates and friends from Eveswell Primary School provided the honours as mascots, and lead out Newport against old rivals Swansea with captain Andy Coombs. Before kick off, the boys were looking for their particular Rodney Parade Hero Richard Dale for the traditional photo opportunity. Richard was however not selected that evening, with Newport's congested fixture list taking it's toll. Luckily, Richard's fellow back row Sam Waldron provided the honours. The boys must have given some inspiration as not only did Sam score a cracking try, but Newport ran out convincing winners over table topping Swansea. Nick Jackson. FoNR Community Rep |
