FoNR Trust Sponsorship Project Just two short years ago, Andy Lee, secretery of St.Julians High School Old Boys RFC, set about organising a team of youngsters in the U7 age category. Within a year he had two age grade sides, and several trained coaches on the team. This coming season, the 'Saints' will be fielding three sides including a new Under 10 age group which FoNR are proud to announce sponsorship of. That's quite an achievement and it is encouraging to see more and more girls and boys taking up the sport. The Community Section of the Trust were approached and agreed a £500 sponsorship deal towards playing kit for the team and in return their endorsement will be proudly displayed on each players number panel for the rest of the season. The Trust have committed themselves to promoting rugby for youngsters across the city and surrounding area and this sponsorship is an example of this. We also invite teams and school groups down to Rodney Parade on matchdays to experience the big match atmosphere. In recognition of others who have also assisted the St.Julians team we can mention Exxon Mobil who have offerred sponsorship to the other age grade sides.
